Alpha Microsystems Inc, a twenty-year old computer industry veteran, has acquired the telephony interconnect services business of ATI Communications Inc. ATI, from Pennsylvania, is an operating division of Applied Cellular Technology Inc. The exact amount Alpha will pay for ATI depends on future annualized revenues, but it’s likely to be around $2.2m. ATI, a specialist in cellular and business telephone systems and networking products, has a projected annual revenue of approximately $4m, and 60 employees. Alpha Micro will run the unit as a wholly owned subsidiary, incorporated in Delaware under the name Alpha Technology Interconnect Inc.
