The new Revision A coverage extends north along US Highway 319 and Highway 155 to the state line, west along Interstate 10 to Midway, east along I-10 to Lloyd, and south to Woodville. The new network is expected to enable customers to upload files five to 10 times faster than before.
According to the company, its customers using Revision A technology will experience average upload speeds of 500-800Kbps with bursts up to 1.8Mbps. Upload speeds on the company’s existing broadband network average 50-70Kbps, with bursts up to 144Kbps.
Revision A download speeds average 600Kbps to 1.4Mbps, with bursts up to 3.1Mbps. By comparison, downloads on the existing broadband network average 400-700Kbps with bursts up to 2.4Mbps.
