Alltel Corp, Hudson, Ohio has exercised its right of first refusal to buy the other 55% of the Aiken, South Carolina-Augusta, Georgia cellular franchise from Pond Branch Telephone Co Inc, giving it 100%; as a result, Centel Corp, Chicago has ended its negotiations, which were announced last month, to buy the shareholding.
