Tidying up of the aftermath of the process in the US where anyone from your dentist to your granny could apply for a cellular telephone licence and might win, Alltel Corp, Little Rock, Arkansas says its Alltel Mobile Communications Inc has increased its stake in the Savannah, Georgia system to 80% by buying the 22% held by Coastal Cellular and acquiring Planter’s Cellular Co, which has 20%; terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
