Commenting on some very healthy interims – pre-tax profit up 37% at UKP538,000, Company Results, p3 – Sintrom Plc of Reading notes that all five subsidiaries of the company contributed to the improvement, even the previously troubled Perex tape drive subsidiary, which is trading profitably after its reconstruction; with three acquisitions – Systmatic, On-line and Micro Technology Group – under its belt, Sintrom is looking for more, both here and on the continent, and, looking for the first half growth to continue, says it is continuing to stress gross margin performance, improved sales productivity, overhead control and staff development.
