AMG and MoodLogic have created a one-stop data and technology services vendor for consumer electronics manufacturers, entertainment software houses, and content service providers.

The companies’ joint capabilities include: CD, DVD and music file recognition, rich metadata at the artist, album and song level, personalized recommendation services, and in-depth editorial content. The combination of data analytics and mining technologies provides high data coverage and accuracy that is scalable internationally.

We are pairing our expert editorial and biographical content with community-generated analysis and reactions, said Karl Ryser, president of AMG. MoodLogic’s ability to normalize, organize, and clean this feedback through advanced data mining technologies is unmatched. These two information sources, combined with MoodLogic’s advanced playlisting technologies and AMG’s media recognition technologies, now form the basis of the next generation in content management systems.

Specific terms of the acquisition agreement were not disclosed. MoodLogic will maintain its current headquarters located in San Francisco.
