ALL 80386 CHIPS WILL NOT NEED TO BE RECALLED SAYS INTEL

There is no truth in gossip doing the rounds that a complete recall of all 80386 chips will be needed because of an alleged bug in the mapping, says Intel Corp: the company says that the only problem that has turned up with the chip is the maths bug that affects only a small number of esoteric applications, and that it is operating a check-out programme and replacing chips where necessary for any users who are worried and ask for it.
