Claiming to be a world’s first, Alienware has released a 13” virtual reality notebook.
Dubbed the Alienware 13, the compact notebook offers a more immersive VR experience for gamers thanks to support form the Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-Series family of GPU’s.
Specifically targeted at gamers, the Alienware 13 notebook boasts enhanced speaker design, audio output and dynamic lighting zones. Starting at $1199, the release of the notebook marks the first time that Alienware has pushed out a sub 14-inch notebook with a quad core Intel Core processor H-Series. The CPUs and Nvidia GPUs push 5x the graphics performance at 4k resolutions than the previous Alienware 13.
Gamers can benefit from the 76 watt-hour lithium ion battery, while an infrared camera supporting Windows Hello biometric facial recognition technology comes as standard. LCD options range from HD (TN), FHD (IPS), and a QHD OLED panel with touch technology. In partnership with Samsung, the Alienware 13 OLED with touch technology is the first gaming notebook to feature an OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display.
It is now available for order in North America, and will be made available in selected European countries on November 10, followed by China on November 21.
