Alcatel Telecom SA is to resell video server hardware from nCube Corp worldwide, using nCube’s MediaCube video servers as a component of its interactive video-on-demand projects. Alcatel has video-on-demand applications aimed at hospitality, distance learning, news dissemination, business communications and home entertainment customers. nCube has been working with Alcatel since 1987, when the two co-operated in providing products for an ADSL-based high speed Internet trial conducted by Post & Telekom Austria. The two first announced their intentions to form a partnership at the beginning of the year.
