The Alcatel CIT arm of Alcatel NV has taken a 5.9% stake in Allied Technologies Ltd in return for the 12.5% held by Allied in Standard Telephones & Cables (South Africa) Pty Ltd, which means that STC South Africa will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allied Tech, which in turn is 56.5% owned by Allied Electronics Corp Ltd, which is controlling shareholder in Telemetrix Plc.
