The German telecommunications market is unlikely to show any recovery this year, Gerhard Zeidler, chairman of Alcatel NV’s Alcatel SEL AG told Stuttgarter Zeitung: he said that rapidly falling prices for equipment and systems mean we will not see higher sales value despite increased deliveries; German communications equipment suppliers saw their sales fall by 12% in 1993 with incoming orders down by 6%.
