Alcatel-Lucent has partnered with Vodafone Germany to offer a comprehensive new offering that is designed to help medium-sized enterprises to benefit from seamless and efficient communications.

The enterprise communication offering provides seamless and efficient communications for enterprises, their customers and suppliers, said Alcatel-Lucent.

The combined offering consist Alcatel-Lucent’s Business integrated Communication Solution (BiCS) while the company also provides related end-user devices and installation and maintenance services on behalf of Vodafone Germany.

The new "Business PBX" offering will be marketed by Vodafone Germany and offers an array of features and functions of communication offering that are pre-installed on the BiCS platform and ready for use, the company said.

Further, the Business PBX enables mobile devices to be included as full extensions and provide the same features as office phones.

Users can access the central company phone directory, which simultaneously indicates the presence status of any person needing to be reached.

Moreover, by connecting the Business PBX to the e-mail system of the client (Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes), the contacts stored there can be directly accessed on any device.

Vodafone Germany product manager for enterprise fixed-line marketing Guido Kissner said they want to continue to grow faster than the market by better focusing on the needs of their enterprise customers than their competitors and the introduction of the Business PBX is an important step in this direction and expands their portfolio for business customers.
