Alcatel-Lucent has opened a new regional delivery centre (RDC) in Bangalore, India, which provides services to manage, operate and maintain multi-vendor fixed and mobile telecommunications networks.

Alcatel-Lucent said that the new RDC is already in operation and is providing round-the-clock services for around 10 of its customers.

The new Bangalore centre is comprised of 8,000sqft and is staffed with around 100 network operations specialists.

The company’s other RDCs are located in the US, Poland and Romania.

Alcatel-Lucent president of Services Vivek Mohan said, the new centre houses sophisticated systems, equipment and personnel to manage the company’s customers’ network operations.
