Alcatel NV’s Alcatel Telettra SpA has won a $45m contract with the Iranian Telecommunications Ministry for 2,000 digital microwave radio transmitters to modernise the country’s telephone system: the order also includes a national control centre, 49 regional contral centres and 700 peripheral stations.
