The healthcare firm said it bought the laboratory and blood bank and microbiology modules, CoPathPlus, from Misys’ anatomic pathology system and expanded outreach functions to streamline and accelerate its laboratory operations.

The software will also be used to provide clinicians with access to laboratory and other critical patient specimen data in both acute care and outreach settings.

The University of South Alabama Health System is expected to implement the technology this spring at its Children’s & Women’s Hospital, Knollwood Hospital and Medical Center.
