AIS releases new CAN-Bus tablet PC

Features Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, Intel 945GSE chipset and lithium ion battery

American Industrial Systems(AIS) has introduced a new mobile CAN-Bus Tablet PC, which features an on-board industrial control via Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus interface and VGA in/out functionality for external dual mode display capability.

According to AIS, the new ruggedised tablet PC comes with an integrated lithium ion battery and features Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz Processor and Intel 945GSE chipset. It utilises new high-brightness and transflective technology and provides optimum visibility in direct sunlight conditions.

The company said that the new tablet PC sports an elegant, practical design featuring an aluminum-magnesium alloy construction with individually sealed ports for complete IP54 waterproof and dustproof protection. The unit is engineered to Military 810F shock, vibration, temperature, humidity, dust and drop standards to withstand the extreme mobile applications.

In addition, the new Tablet PC features programmable buttons and HMI touchscreen technology for quick navigation. It also comes with integrated 802.11b/g WIFI and Bluetooth modules and is available in10.4-inch and 12.1-inch displays.
