American Industrial Systems (AIS), has introduced a line of IP65/NEMA 4 rated weatherproof LCD computers for performance in wet, dusty, rugged, and humid environments. It includes completely fanless system options including the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz Processor, Celeron, and AMD Geode LX-800 Processor.
The company claims that all the systems feature low power consumption, high reliability, long product life cycle and better performance per watt operation.
The options such as HMI touchscreens capability, sunlight readability capability through transflective enhancements, LED backlit panels and custom I/O’s are made available for enhancing the utility of the display, AIS said.
According to AIS, the new offering features IP65 weatherproof stainless steel enclosure with corrosion protection including I/O Connectors, support Windows or Linux OS, brushed stainless steel enclosure, sunlight-readable monitors and displays, and long-life backlights, high shock and vibration resistance.

In addition, the company allows customisation of the panel PC’s for specific application requirements and incorporates ABS thermoplastic covers and o-rings to seal the monitor from dust and water.
