US West Media Group Inc and Airtouch Communications Inc say they have signed a definitive agreement on the previously announced (CI No 3,144) $5bn merger of Media Group’s domestic cellular business and its interest in PrimeCo Personal Communications into AirTouch. The companies believe that the transaction should close by the end of this year or early next year.
