Until now the software had been able to monitor the 802.11b/g band only (2.4GHz), which was fine because the vast majority of WiFi phones only operate in that band. However, this year vendors such as Cisco, with its 7921 phone, and SpectraLink (now part of Polycom) have added the 802.11a band (5GHz).

The Sunnyvale, California-based company has also added another 13 alarms to the AirWISE analysis engine, which now diagnoses in excess of 60 wireless call problems.
