Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire-based paging company Air Call Communications Ltd has launched the first two information services over its network, AA Roadwatch and IRN Newsdesk: the former gives national motorway traffic information, as well as localised regional information provided by the UK Automobile Association; IRN Newsdesk provides news bulletins transmitted to pagers, it is claimed, before being transmitted on radio or television.
