AION CORP ADDS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FRONT-END TO TERADATA DATABASE MACHINE

By CBR Staff Writer

Los Angeles-based Teradata and Aion Corp of Palo Alto, California, have joined forces to develop an interface to link Aion’s expert systems shells with Teradata’s DBC/1012 database computer. The interface will enable applications built with Aion’s ADS development system to gain access – via Teradata’s SQL implementation – to data residing on the DBC/1012 database. Benefits cited by company chiefs include the elimination of duplicate data storage costs and the provision, for Teradata users, of a new level of knowledge-engineering facilities. Aion will market and support the product, which should be available by the autumn of this year.
