Nashua, New Hampshire-based multimedia software company AimTech Corp says it is working on a presentation system, enabling applications created with its Windows-based IconAuthor system to run on a Macintosh: the company has also announced IconAuthor support for Tandy Corp’s new multimedia Video Information System; IconAuthor enables users to create interactive applications using text, graphics, animation, audio and video and runs under the Windows, OSF/Motif and VMS environments; the new Mac-based presentation system will be available worldwide in the second quarter of 1993 – prices are not available yet; meantime, a special IconAuthor program for creating VIS titles is being offered to free developers who must then pay a fee once their titles start shipping; AimTech says 15 developers are now creating Video Information System titles with IconAuthor; those scheduled for release this year include a language instruction series from Syracuse Language Systems and a Meeting of the Minds game from JLR Group Inc, the company says.
