Internet service provider clearinghouse company AimQuest Corp which manages the roaming agreements of 150 ISPs, called the Global Reach Internet Consortium alliance, has announced that it will resell internet telephony servers from Siemens Business Communications Systems, a division of Siemens AG, to the GRIC members. AimQuest will in turn license its internet roaming software which includes authentication, directory services and billing software for bundling on Siemens’ internet gateways, for customers who want to use internet roaming. The Siemens telephony integration servers enable voice and fax calls to be routed over the internet, or intranet, which decreases the number of leased lines companies need to rent. AimQuest aims for the GRIC alliance to offer global internet telephony, alongside the internet roaming service.
