Cupertino, California-based Aimnet Corp has announced a free version of its suite of Internet applications, Aimnet Ranger, to be released commercially in October. As yet, no prices. The Ranger family includes Multipart Internet Messaging Exchange-supported electronic mail, FTP, World Wide Web browsing, news and telnet and is available at ftp.aimnet.com. Ranger also includes a built-in voice mail and incoming mail organising facility, which places mail in folders according to and/or rules.
