NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, has announced that AltaMed Health Services and Valley-Wide Health Systems have selected the company’s suite of enterprise software system, to meet the Community Health Center’s billing and reporting needs.

AltaMed Health Services (AHS) selected NextGen electronic health record (EHR), NextGen enterprise practice management (EPM), NextGen image control system (ICS), and Quality Systems’s integrated electronic dental record (EDR).

During 2009, AltaMed will install NextGen EPM at 18 locations across Los Angeles and Orange County, the Quality Systems EDR at five dental practices, and NextGen EHR at 11 primary care clinics.

Valley-Wide Health Systems (VHS) selected NextGen EHR, NextGen EPM and Quality Systems’ integrated EDR, and will implement all three products across its enterprise, making the technology available to clinical and billing staff at the 14 sites.

Angela Roberts, chief information officer of AHS, said: NextGen Healthcare has developed content for the Community Health Center (CHC) market and offers a scalable technology platform that will help us meet our anticipated growth. Through the use of this platform, we hope to increase quality of care by providing clinicians with access to the patient record, regardless of service location.
