AGS AGREED $155m BID FOR C3

Mountainside, New Jersey (mountains – in New Jersey?) based software developer and system builder AGS Computers Inc has won agreement from C3 Inc management for a $155m or $15.75 a share offer for the Herndon, Virginia company. The price is a 34% premium on that at which C3 was trading ahead of the bid. AGS did $14.2m net on sales of $496.7m in 1987; C3, a systems integrator for the Federal government, did $12.7m net on turnover of $84m in the nine months to end-87.
