The Japanese Finance Ministry has approved a letter of intent between Citicorp and Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank Ltd of Tokyo which aims to enable each other’s user base to share automatic teller machines in both countries where each would act as agents for such business as consumer and home mortgage loans: Citicorp, with only six branches in Japan, also plans to introduce its Citibank MasterCard in Japan.
