We will collaborate with local universities and government agencies to build a strong technology ecosystem through knowledge and technology development.
The company plans to hire 100 engineers adding to the 1000 strong-workforce currently employed in Penang and expects its center to be fully operational in three years.
In 2003, Agilent opened two facilities in Penang for R&D, designing, and manufacturing of its measurement instrument and semiconductor products. It later expanded the facility in 2006 by adding additional workforce and further investments.
Agilent began operations in Malaysia in 1972 and currently has more than 3,000 employees.
