Aftek Infosys buys into US engineering firm

Indian business management and IT services firm Aftek Infosys Ltd has bought what officials are calling a "significant" stake in US-based engineering services firm V-Soft Inc.

By CBR Staff Writer

Mumbai-based Aftek retains an option to ramp up its investment with an option to buy the Saratoga, California-based company outright after four years. V-Soft provides US engineering departments with custom systems design and development, verification and training and services sourced from its largely India-based resources. Clients include HP, Cisco Systems, Alcatel and Honeywell.

Despite the similar name, Aftek is not part of Indian services giant Infosys Technologies Ltd. Both companies have been embroiled in trademark injunctions and suits.
