Facilities management firm Affiliated Computer Services Inc has an agreement to acquire one of its rivals, Computer Data Systems Inc, for approximately $373m. Rockville, Maryland-based CDSI is a systems integation, software engineering, and data center management company with 3,900 employees. It will become a wholly- owned subsidiary of Affiliated, which is based in Dallas, Texas. Earlier this year Affiliated, which had sales of $624m last year, acquired Intelligent Solutions Inc (CI No 3,131), a services provider for the federal government, for $28m. And last year the company acquired another rival, the Genix Group, for $135m.
