Aetna offers online tools to all

Healthcare technology company Aetna has opened up its internet-based tools to all healthcare professionals working on behalf of its members.

By CBR Staff Writer

According to the company, any healthcare provider who has previously submitted a claim to the company, whether a member or not, can now register with the website. Once done they will be able to submit further claims, check claims status, verify benefits and view billing policies among other services.

We want to make business transactions easier for the healthcare professionals who take care of Aetna members, and that includes nonparticipating medical and dental providers and their office staff. It makes sense to also offer them the benefits of around-the-clock access to our suite of real-time tools and resources, said Molly Knorr, Aetna’s head of national network.
