Aer Lingus, Ireland’s national airline, has installed an IBM 3090-170 to look after its on-line reservation system in a deal estimated to be worth UKPIr3.5m; Aer Lingus says the new system, consisting of a 3090-170S processor, 3380K disk drives, 3480 tape units, and Air Line Control System software operating under MVS, will support its participation in the Galileo European air reservations consortium.
