The AEG AG unit of Daimler-Benz AG is selling its household appliances unit to Electrolux AB and will take other restructuring measures that will mean the loss of around 12,000 jobs; it is also putting its low-voltage business into a joint venture with General Electric Co Inc; it will concentrate on rail transport equipment and will be responsible for microelectronics across all divisions of Daimler-Benz AG.
