AEG AG will cut 1,300 jobs, about 48% of the workforce, at its Olympia office automation equipment subsidiary when manufacturing ends later this year: the company hopes to find other work for 1,400 of the total workforce at the subsidiary, and says that a German company has expressed interest in the sales and marketing operations of the unit.
