Atlanta-based Advanced Telecommunications Corp is the fourth largest publicly-held USlong distance carrier, but it wants to be a deal bigger, and has agreed to buy AmeriCall Systems of Louisville, First Phone of New England, Dedicated Data Services, AmeriCall Dial 0 Services Inc and First Phone Dial 0 Services Inc, which serve mainly Kentucky and Massachusetts. Advanced will be paying $35m in cash and shares all told.
