Advanced Micro Devices Inc sees its K5 Pentium killer as one of its major products for 1995 to end-1997. First K5 parts are scheduled for late in the third quarter of fisoal 1995, Ben Anixter, vice-president of external affairs, told the attendees, but the Am486 parts still have a big life in the entry-level market for the next two years, he said. Advanced Micro also expects its Flash memory sales to continue increasing as well, since the market is growing fast. The company’s next-generation K6 is scheduled for release in 1996 and the K7 is set for 1997. It has a 1998 goal of $5,000m turnover, against $2,100m in 1994.
