Advanced Micro Devices Inc and the BT&D Technologies Ltd optoelectronic components joint venture of British Telecommunications Plc and DuPont Co have extended their technology and marketing pact to cover the new AMD FOXI transmitter and receiver for use in proprietary local area networks, PABXs and computer interconnections, and the existing TAXIchip parts. The FOXI set operates at up to 125MHz and can transmit data at up to 100Mbps.
