Following its tie-up with Fujitsu Ltd on Flash memory, Advanced Micro Devices Inc has annother alliance, this time with Du Pont Co’s Du Pont Connector Systems unit, specifically on Flash memory storage cards for mobile systems. Under the agreement, which runs for two years and has a provision for annual renewal, Du Pont Connector Systems will manufacture and AMD will sell Flash memory cards that comply with the new international standards, using AMD’s 12V and 5V-only Flash memory devices. The first cards will be available this autumn.
