Advanced Micro Devices Inc, Sunnyvale, California is mobilising local are network product developers and vendors to join its new Advanced Networking Group, which has the mission to promote acceptance and implementation of the new, high-speed Fibre Distributed Data Interface for 100Mbit-per-second local area networks. There are 36 charter in the Advanced Networking Group including mainframe, workstation, board and network equipment manufacturers and software vendors that are working on FDDI standard kit.
