ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES PROVIDES INITIAL CUSTOMERS WITH THE AM29000 RISC MICROPROCESSOR

Advanced Micro Devices Inc, Sunnyvale, says that it has now provided initial customers with samples of the Am29000 RISC microprocessor, and that seven Fortune 500 and equivalent international companies in the minicomputer, workstation and computer graphics markets will be the beta test sites for the Am29000, beginning in December.
