If Advanced Micro Devices wins the right to continue second sourcing the Intel X86 chip it looks as if it could well have trouble capitalising on the decision: it has announced that 200 jobs are to go from sales and admin by December 30 and that it expects to take further actions in the first qearter of 1991 to cut its headcount.
