Adva joins a consortium of over 60 technology companies and service providers working with Internet2’s university and government members to develop and deploy network services and capabilities for academic research.

Adva said it is already contributing to Internet2’s Hybrid Optical and Packet Infrastructure (HOPI) initiative – an effort examining the requirements and performance of scalable next generation backbone networks that combine the best of packet and optical technologies.
