Adtran has launched NetVanta Unified Communications (UC) Solution Suite, which delivers features such as voice mail, unified messaging, fax server and auto attendant.

The company claims that the NetVanta UC offerings are designed to accommodate from five to over 2,000 users per server for a range of businesses from SMBs to large distributed enterprises. It is suitable for vertical markets including banking, hospitality, education, health care, retail and real estate.

According to Adtran, the NetVanta UC Suite includes UC server, business communications system, enterprise communications server and business application server. The UC Server, designed for businesses and enterprises with an existing PBX, features UC capabilities including unified messaging, fax server, auto-attendants, personal assistants, graphical drag and drop non-programmatic service creation, response (IVR) for inbound and outbound calling services, integration with ODBC databases, text to speech, one number services, call redirection services and notifications.

The company said that the business communications system combines NetVanta 7000 Series IP-PBXs with the NetVanta UC server enhanced with additional features such as click-to-dial capabilities and an integrated conference server. It also includes NetVanta UC Server’s database connectivity option.

The enterprise communications server provides an IP-based voice and unified communications system for larger enterprises, scaling from 5 to over 2,000 users on a single server. The SIP-based platform offers a soft IP-PBX that is complemented with all the UC features of NetVanta UC Server, plus click-to-dial, an integrated conference server, and a paging server for overhead paging, the company said.

In addition, the business application server enables users and businesses to implement communications-oriented business process automation. It allows businesses to implement Communications Enabled Business Processes (CEBP) and provides fax capabilities to integrate fax reception and transmission into communications services, a paging server to integrate overhead paging, and email creation capabilities.

Tim Saunders, vice president of product management at Adtran Enterprise Networks Division, said: “ADTRAN’s NetVanta UC solutions are flexible and customisable to address the specific needs of each business and individual user. These solutions allow businesses, regardless of size, to streamline business operations, improve communications, increase productivity and reduce costs.”
