Adtran, a provider of unified business and converged communications offerings, has collaborated with BroadSoft, a provider of IP-based communications services, and Polycom, a provider of unified communications, to introduce interoperable hosted communications offering kits.
The collaboration will simplify hosted offerings for both the service providers and their customers, as the hosted communications offering kits are sized for small, medium and large deployments.
The preselected offering kits include all the applicable networking hardware and phones, and installation and maintenance services, which enable zero-touch deployment and provisioning back to the BroadSoft softswitch.
The company said that the service providers who utilise the BroadWorks platform can now select offering kits from Adtran that includes its NetVanta routers or gateways, Polycom SoundStation and SoundPoint IP conference and desktop phones featuring Polycom HD Voice, along with installation and maintenance.
Adtran enterprise networks division senior product manager Chris Thompson said service providers typically have to sort through a myriad part numbers from multiple vendors to mix-and-match the correct offering.
"Service providers now can know they are receiving offerings sized appropriately for their particular deployment that are fully interoperable, allowing for seamless integration," Thompson said.
