Mountain View, California-based Adobe Systems Inc is following what is becoming a well-trodden route into publishing, signing with the Hayden division of Prentice Hall Computer Publishing, to create Adobe Press, a joint book-publishing venture: Adobe and Hayden will work together to develop and distribute books on graphic arts, Adobe computer applications and technologies, the role, function and art of typography, and how to use Adobe’s technology in the graphic arts and printing industries; the books in the series will appear in both traditional paper format and in electronic formats, the partners said.
