Adobe Systems Inc has announced Illustrator 8.0 computer drawing tool, which will be shown at the Seybold show in San Francisco at the beginning of next month, and ship shortly afterwards. The tool is more tightly integrated with Adobe tools such as PhotoShop or PageMaker, as Adobe says that 80% of Illustrator customers use it in conjunction with at least one other Adobe tool. It should cost $375 in the US, with upgrades available for $129. French and German versions will follow within 15 days, and a Japanese version, currently under development, is expected by the fourth quarter.
