Net income came in at $94.4m, down 35% from $144.9m last year. Earnings per share for the quarter were $0.16, but excluding expenses such as stock options and acquisitions costs from its 2005 purchase of Macromedia Inc, EPS was $0.29. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial were expecting EPS of $0.26.
The company expects revenue between $655m and $685m for the fourth quarter, and EPS including expenses should fall between $0.32 and $0.34.
Adobe reported its numbers after market close following the announcement; shares bounced up nearly 8% to $36.30 in after-hours trading.
