Adobe Systems Inc is set to launch Acrobat version 4.0 today, its first major release of the Portable Document Format technology since November 1996. The new release is being positioned as a cross-platform document collaboration, forms processing, e-commerce and Web site development tool, and adds new integration with Microsoft Office, rich-text editing and web-page capture features to Acrobat. It’s set to be available at the end of March, prices $250.
