Adobe Systems Inc has unveiled its Adobe Premiere Version 4.0 for Windows that incorporates new features for video, film and multimedia professionals who create digital movies in the Microsoft Video for Windows Audio/Video Interleaved or Apple QuickTime for Windows format. It provides more creative power with features such as titling, motion control, multiple audio and video tracks and custom filters and transition. Professional-level features have been added and include support for Edit Decision Lists, timecode support and field processing, and interface and performance enhancements include a new Trimming Windows and improved previewing. Premiere for Windows comes standard with a Deluxe CD-ROM at no additional cost to users. The CD-ROM includes Adobe Photoshop 2.5 LE software and Adobe Acrobat Reader software. The CD-ROM also includes multimedia tutorials on new features, digital audio, video and still-image clip files, electronic documentation, and try-out versions of other Adobe applications. Adobe Type Manager software and an additional 23 Adobe Type 1 fonts are also included via the Adobe Type On Call CD-ROM. It is due out in the current quarter and will cost $700. Registered users of the Version 1.0 or 1.1 software can upgrade to it at $180.
