In a statement, the company said Furr’s departure is unrelated to his work performed at Adobe and no issues have been raised regarding the integrity of the company’s financial statements.

Furr joined Adobe in May, having most recently served as president and COO of electronics manufacturing firm Sanmina-SCI Corp. Adobe said he would stay on with Adobe through the end of the year during the transition. CEO Bruce Chizen will takeover CFO duties while the company searches for a replacement.

The announcement was made after market close. Adobe shares dipped slightly in after-hours trading, down slightly more than a point to $39.16.
